August the 4th was Liam's 6th birthday. After present opening we had his choice for breakfast - A&W. (Secretly we were all happy!!) We then headed off on the Icefields Parkway. Even in the couple of weeks since our last visit, scenery had changed. It was still just as spectacular, but slightly different.

We stopped at various places en route to the Athabasca Glacier, but the main one was the Athabasca Falls. We reached the Columbia Icefields early in the afternoon and took our snowcoach out onto the glacier. Compared to our previous visit the glacier top was a lot drier. We all enjoyed being out there and collectively added 100 years to our lives with the 'elixer of life' - glacier water!

On our return we checked into our rooms that had fabulous views of the glaciers. We ate supper at the cafe there then returned to our rooms for birthday cake and lego construction!!
