The Rockies Revisited - episode 1

At Spahats Falls
On Tuesday we set off for Jasper. It was a lovely day and the drive was great. We stopped off at Wells Gray Provincial Park to see the Spahats waterfall and to have lunch at the bakery we like. Frank spotted a black bear en route to Mt Robson where we had a fantastic view of the Mountain and then on to Jasper.

Lake Maligne

The following day we visited Lake Maligne and took a cruise to Spirit Island and then visited the Maligne Canyon where we had great views as the walked along the top of it. We saw a herd of long horn sheep on the road, as well as elk and deer.

The weather was very changeable and we spent the rest of the day keeping out of the rain as we explored the town. They have a lovely gallery there that showcases local artists.
