On September 8 it was Phoebe's second birthday. I can't believe how quickly it has come around. She had a fun day in her new watermelon dress and in the evening we celebrated with presents and cupcakes. In particular, she was very taken with the tea set Liam gave her. As soon as she opened it she knew what it was and was content playing with it all evening!

As for Phoebe's development.....she is a determined little character! She is speaking quite well and has a number of friends whom she seeks out to play, and about whom she talks when they are not in sight! She is very interested in her clothes, usually choosing what she will wear, and loves ponytails. She is learning excellent construction skills from Liam and enjoys building with duplo and lego (when Liam is not around to tell her not to touch it!!) She LOVES books and is happy to be read to all day, given the opportunity. Her favourite at the moment.....Stephanie's Ponytail by Robert Munsch and Franklin books. Both Canadian favourites!! She happily recognises and sings Harry Potter and Star Wars themes.
