Some comings and goings...

at the Opening
Bob - by Frank's students

Just some other things we have been up to....

In April some of Frank's students had works in the local School District art exhibition at the Sagebrush theatre. It was a great show in a lovely spot and we enjoyed the opening.

A scene at the markets

There is a great farmers' market that runs twice a week now through to October downtown. We went to have a look last Saturday and it is great! Lots of organics, including bread, meat, eggs and fresh produce. There were lots of people there and it has a great atmosphere.

ONE street of garage sales

Last Sunday we went to the mother of all garage sales. There was a neighbourhood garage sale in nearby Juniper Ridge, and we were in search of a BBQ, so we went along. We started in the first street, got our BBQ and some toys and were very happy. At the end of the street, we noticed that the next street also had sales, and the next and the next.....we ended up there for 4 hours, only saw about half and were sunburned! We came away with not only the BBQ, but lots of toys, a sled and a GT Snowracer ready for next winter!

On the deck!

Thanks to Tom and his truck we were then able to bring home said BBQ and set up the deck for outside eating. Sunday evening was beautiful and we enjoyed a drink with Tom and Teresa and their son Ben out on the deck. We also enjoyed our supper out there. Unfortunately the good weather has not repeated itself since then, but it will come.

At the finish line
Yesterday Liam's school had a walkathon to raise money for their fitness track. I went along for the walk and it was great. The kindergarteners had to walk a 2km course. On the finish line each child received a 'medal' cookie on a string! It was too cute. Thanks to the numerous Australian relatives who unknowingly sponsored Liam $4 each in his endeavours! Your generosity is appreciated!!!

It was our 11th wedding anniversary yesterday, so we all went to celebrate at Mino's Greek restaurant. It came highly recommended by Jennifer and since we went to Greece for our 10th anniversary it seemed like the obvious choice. It was FANTASTIC! Delicious food, cold beers, great service, and enough food in our platter for two to feed the whole family AND leave enough food for us to bring home for lunch today. We are looking forward to going there again!!!

At Mino's

Al Kime arrives tomorrow morning - we are so excited!
